Week 2 Reading Overview

 I have chosen to read Tiny Tales from the Ramayana. This choice interested me because it says it is made up of hundreds of short stories and I find short little versions of things a lot more exciting to read. It also sounds like the most up to date version which is enticing. 


Parashurama

This interested me because this story sounds like a very intense and violent journey which is very intriguing. 

Shiva Parvati

This story interested me because I always enjoy a good story about a couple fighting together and staying on task to finish their quest even with all the obstacles that are encountered.

Harry Potter Meets Hindu Mythology

This stuck out to me because I am a big Harry Potter fan and this sounded interesting. 

Foods For Gods

I found this appealing because I am a Health and Exercise Science major so the diets of gods sounded interesting to me.


Krishna and Balarama Fight Kamsa's Wrestlers

This picture was interesting because I have always thought sumo wrestling is interesting.

 My major is Health and Exercise Science and my favorite thing about it is that my major can lead to so many different jobs and routes. The best class I took last semester was Human Anatomy. This was a very intense course but was very interesting as I got to examine cadavers and see all the body parts that are on and in us. One big accomplishment that I attained last semester was attaining very good grades last semester. Some of my favorite movies include Good Will Hunting, The Big Short, and The Accountant. Some of my favorite TV shows include The Office, Friends, and Dexter. My favorite music by far is classic 80's as my parents have put me on it for a long time. Week 2 Story: The Heron and the Fish

  THE BLUE HERON AND THE FISH Once upon a time, while Brahmadatta was king of Benares, the Bodhisatta came to life at the foot of a great pond as a Fish. He grew strong and healthy and lived in a very big pond with plentiful marine life. At that time there was a Heron living near the pond.
